Pentagon Funding Bill Adds Billions

A huge Pentagon spending bill came to the Senate floor already bearing a $453.5 billion price tag. Then concerns about Army combat readiness and security along the Mexican border led lawmakers to add almost $15 billion more.

I wonder what I could do if I had 1 Billion dollars? Could I house all homeless in America? Could I buy land seeds and labor to feed hungry Americans? Or I wonder if I could help start sustainable livlihoods in Mexico and Central America so that people wouldn’t have the need to split up their families and become “illegal” immigrant workers in the United States? Would I save $14 BILLION and what could I do with another $1 Billion or another $2 Billion and still have $10 BILLION left over? What on earth could I do with another $1 Billion? Could I create schools and sustainable livelihoods for black male youth and stem the tide against anti-education and broken families and communities? I wonder… what could I do?
