Take Back Your v “V” o “O” i “T” c “E” e
Going through the elections process takes effort; arranging your vote around work and other activities, or just remembering to put postage on your mail-in ballot. The vulnerability of our elctronic votes is hyper-eroding what trust we’ve had in American Democracy. Here are three things you can do that might help you take back control of your vote and voice:
1) Photocopy your mail-in ballot before putting it in the mail. Perhaps make more than one copy.
2) Take your digital camer or camera phone to the voting station. Photograph the computer screen or paper ballot which you fill out. You might later want to print your photo record should the need arise.
3) Store the multiple paper or electronic copies in safe and different places.
I have already practiced these three steps. Start today, right now to be ready. And take back your voice! Take back your vote!
