Mad Cow: It’s in the food
The irritated bovines have arrived in the United States. The public relations experts and industry lobbyists are behaving beastly, working cleverly to produce mind-clogging fats of disinformation and misinformation. The spin-machine has simplified the animals as “sources of protein”. Sounds nutritious enough.
The multi-headed lions, tigers and bears began their usual psych-out routine to down-play the results of industrialized agricultures forced animal cannibalism. The song and dance show tour includes New York State’s Hudson River, Washington State’s Hanford Nuclear Reservation, and Louisiana’s refinery rows, and perhaps some place down the street from your house.
What human heart can not be moved by the pictures of pitifully ill animals, so sick that they can’t stand or walk, dragged from cattle-hauling trucks to their slaughter? What brother’s heart can not see the image of that cow transforming into the image of weakened and polluted people, dragged about in systems of inhumane existence?
Blessed be the cows who don’t know “better”, who do not pretend, down-play, postpone, or offer empty assurances. They tell the truth in their bodies that the lucrative system and industry of polluted feeding (the forced cannibalism in ill blood and spinal tissue they are given to eat) is inhumane and it is killing them and us.
The disease can seem dormant and may be undetectable (to our currently ability to detect) in countless other cows. Further, the ill waste of this industrialized feeding system includes other animals such as chickens and to vegetable farming. No diet is exempt.
The mad cow trouble, as serious as it is, is only one piece of the food puzzle that troubles our lives.
Food is an unsecured necessity for millions of people, and those of us who can purchase our food, do not really know, (or worse) care where our food comes from. We’ve allowed our lives to be wound up tight and disconnected and confused. We can’t understand or trace cause to effect, seed to fruit, source to result in one of the most simple and vital pieces of our lives, our food.
We willingly chow-down the latest or stalest down-play or lie by those who don’t want us to take concern for ourselves? Mother Nature and Father Time are calling you dear brother to wake up. Learn. The moment of NOW is asking if someone will say “I’m not going to buy this type of bull anymore.” It is NOW time, time to know, to choose, to act.
“Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.” — Isaiah 55:2
