Is all “right” in New Mexico?
There seems to have been a problem with four ballot boxes in New Mexico. They didn’t get counted before operations ended for the night of February 5. But more puzzling, they went either to the homes of three caucus workers or to the home of a state government worker who has endorsed Hillary Clinton.
I learned this from the Heath Haussamen blog and was pointed there by Think on These Things. I searched the Albuquerque Journal, the Albuquerque Tribune, and the Santa Fe New Mexican but there is no sign of reporting or investigating about this. However Kate Nash, a reporter with the Santa Fe New Mexican is following the ballot counting and has a comment about what the state official told her.
Note: The Haussamen blog says that the boxes were not reported to the state Democratic Party office the night of the vote and were brought to the Clinton-endorsing official’s home the next morning. Correction: The boxes are said only to have been brought to the official’s wife the next morning. This is something to follow.
