I confess, I’m a geek. Really, who other than a geek would find enjoyment out of late-night map reading? Well there you go, I have my credentials!

Having lived my life on the peculiar side, it comes as not surprise that elements of my life sometimes pop up and hold mating rituals otherwise known in less sexy terms as “brainstorming sessions”. Yes, here I am at 1AM on a work night and the brain if firing off, making search up stuff and wonder about stuff like the geek I am. Well what is it that I’m finding so interesting?

An article at AlterNet (Christian Right’s Emerging Deadly Worldview: Kill Muslims to Purify the Earth).

More specifically, there seems to be three purportedly ex-terrorist Palestinian guys on the Religious Right speaking circuit. Their message is the wrongness of Islam and the rightness of Christianity. The goal, so-called Christian (read: Religious Right) world order. The method? Well I’ll let the article go there.

Now I remember when churches were parading entertainer “Little Richard” all over the place (or was he just parading?) after his conversion or return to Christianity. Little Richard’s parade hit particularly home for me in that he was black and supposedly had become an ex-gay. This all was going on during the heat of my early coming out issues as an early teen. I say that to note that I’ve witnessed first-hand how some of the conversion tours are done and the energy wars that go on.

So all this got me thinking about something I read and remembered a little bit about from my growing up in self-identified Christian churches. It was the religious prophesy in the book of Revelation, the prophesy of three frogs which would be all about the lies and other bad things.
Why would people who supposedly are spiritually healed and saved by “unconditional love” of Christians and “God”… how can those people turn around and show conditional “love” toward others? Of course, this begs the questions, what really is “love” and are someones “lying”?
