Script writers in Hollywood almost never let the crooks get away, at least not for good. They always come back with something that lets true “right” and justice prevail. Now I know that while the “news” that is usually produced by MSM and the ever growing echo-chambers of talk shows are scripted, or keep to the script of their corporate bosses, real life is not a script.

This could be bad in the Hollywood sense. Instead of true “right” and justice-change entering the story to become a story about truth, rightness and justice; the Cheney/Bush story of lies, secrecy, violence and death could go on and on randomly and chaotically to near infinity–and John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman are just three who are committed to nothing less. And now it almost seems like some endless nightmare is in the works by the invisible hands which work behind government walls.

What court of just-law (as in real justice) allows defendants to tell it what they (the defendant) will not or cannot do?

The American system of governance has three equally powerful parts:

1) Executive - President/Vice-President
2) Judicial - U.S. Supreme Court
3) Legislative - U.S. Congress

The Judicial and Legislative parts are to be independent of the Executive part but the Executive part cannot be fully independent of the Judicial/Legislative parts because that would equal being a King/Queen and the U.S. Constitution–the baby born from the Declaration of Independence from England and the American Revolution–was written to prevent any more Kings and Queens from ruling over us.

In the most ideal script, there would be a truly just and righteous person who is elected to be President by well-informed citizens, just like the truly just and righteous senators and representatives they elect to the U.S. Congress. The truly just and righteous President would appoint truly just and righteous justices to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. In reality we get something a bit less, and more-of-the-less when we fail to demand more of what we really want.

Well, the crux of the matter right now is that we have a U.S. Citizenry and U.S. Congress which had lost their way before September 11, 2001. While millions in the U.S. filled our streets and parks in candlelight vigils and later in protests for diplomacy against invading Iraq, other millions were of a different spirit, the spirit of fear and the spirit of the pride which goeth before a fall.

Millions allowed themselves to believe unscrupulous people who promised safety and security through violence and their secrecy (but not your privacy). U.S. Congress, with very few exceptions was occupied by prideful, violent, ill-motivated, and fearful members. The rest is history.

But after all of this, what do we make of losing our history? What do we say to those who lied to us and now have tried to erase the trails, the evidence? What do we say to the U.S. Congress and U.S. Supreme Court if they allow this bad script to continually get worse?
