NOVEMBER 8 - VOTE!
Well brothers,
It’s soon to be November 8 and the big off-year vote.
No presidents to elect but in some areas, issues just as important are being decided. There are a few such issues like that for me in Seattle. On the state level, we have health insurance, a gas tax for road repairs, and an initiative requiring an extra audit of city budgets conducted by the state auditor (partisan). In King County where Seattle is, we have the county executive race. In the city we have a mayor’s race, a smoking-ban, and a vote on the monorail transit plan.
Yes, there are school board, county sheriff and port commissioner seats up for election but they are background noise to the hot-button issues.
So what I’m saying guys, is that every vote has meaning. Every itty bitty vote counts. And that’s the gospel truth. So please, wherever you are, on this election day — be that brother who is a beautiful, informed, and responsible citizen. VOTE!
